Charles and Brenda Robinson had been looking for a quieter retreat in the country, and finally found their retirement haven at our Uphall Station Village developement.
The retired couple had been looking for a quieter retreat in the country after a combined 79 years working as taxi drivers in and around the bustling capital.
Charles and Brenda chose the detached four-bed Matheson house-type as itoffered ample space to host friends and family while providing less upkeep and maintenance than the older build property they previously owned.
Drawn to moving closer to their daughter and her family, Uphall Station Village proved to be the perfect settlement!
“We wanted to make a move from Portobello to Livingston to be closer to our daughter who lives in the town. When we began looking for a new home, we wanted something more manageable but still have plenty of room to have all our friends and family round" Charles said “Settling into Uphall Station Village has been great, it is so peaceful here in comparison to the hustle and bustle of the Edinburgh suburbs.
“We first viewed the show home at Uphall Station Village, the finish of the home was fantastic and we were really impressed. As a result, we decided the Matheson house style was best suited to our needs, it meant purchasing it off plan but we both had no concerns and felt really reassured by the Dundas team.
“Having the open plan kitchen/diner is fantastic, we had four of our friends around to visit the other day and we had plenty of space for everyone to enjoy a brilliant meal together and catch up.”
“The customer service at Dundas has been exceptional from the start, Janice from the sales team and the Development Manager, Dave, have gone above and beyond for us.
“During the snagging process there were a couple of loose ends as expected from a new build, but once we notified Dundas of these minor discrepancies they got fixed very quickly and efficiently without any hassle.
“Nothing is too much for Dundas and they are always on hand to any answer questions myself or my husband had, and are happy to help out in anyway.”
