Gemma Rintoul and her husband Graeme were keen to upsize from their two-bedroom property, but didn’t want to leave the town they knew and loved. They found their perfect home at Ostlers Way.
Gemma, who was born and raised in the East Neuk of Fife, wanted to stay local but knew that she and her family of four (plus dog) needed more room. Driving past the Ostlers Way development, which lies on the outskirts of Kirkcaldy, she had a ‘light bulb’ moment and decided to explore what was on offer.
After they’d looked round the development, they liked the look of the three-bedroom Brodie. Its spacious downstairs layout, large garden and separate garage were perfect for their needs.
The Sales team at the development arranged for the couple to visit a fully built Brodie house. This allowed them to picture what their future home would look like and they decided to take the plunge. They went ahead with the early bird deposit plan to secure funding for a plot.
“It was a spontaneous decision to buy the house but it has turned out to be the best one we’ve ever made!” said Gemma. “Initially, I was a bit nervous about buying a new build home. But it really couldn’t have been any more perfect for us as a family.
“It’s a really comfortable, nicely sized home and we are all very content - the kids love living here, it’s a nice, quiet place for them to grow up.
“The move-in process was smooth and there were just a few minor snagging issues, which were fixed very quickly and efficiently with no hassle.
“We’ve got everything we need right on our doorstep. Fife Central Retail Park is only a few minutes away and there are also some lovely restaurants within walking distance.

“Our kids love having fun at the playpark in the development and enjoy shooting hoops in the basketball court. Their school is also a very short drive away - it really is a great location.
“Everyone has been really friendly and we have formed some really nice relationships with the people on the development. I’m looking forward to many happy years ahead. What more could you ask for?”
